This thread screams Trevor Lewis. He’s going to retire a King. He’d be worth maybe a third?

Speaking for our coach, Andrew MacDonald.

Viewed as a camp dump here, Hak has him on the top pairing for the 2nd year in a row.

Yes, odd that coaches see things differently than HF experts who prefer stigmas.

I don't think there's anyone more pissed about that trade than you and me

Yeah. While Scandella anchors a 1st pairing and Poms does his usual low key, quasi-good stuff, we get to watch Ennis and Foligno derp their way through games for the Wild. Trading for guys who play on the bottom six of a perennial doormat of a team...whatever could go wrong with that?

well our fourth line outplays our top 6 many nights and Callahan is a big reason why. hes ideally a good third liner but we are happy with him giving us a top tier fourth line.

His line has been getting more ice time than the 3rd line most nights. So yeah. Playing very well this year but little to show for it, unlucky as hell but he is also not getting PP time which he used to make a living on there with scoring dirty goals. So it’s not easy for him. But, He could easily fit into most teams 3rd lines. Still very solid on the D, and shutting down the opponents.

If Tampa retained some salary can see him being moved, and Tampa getting some decent return. Last year was a big question mark from that surgery but he seems to be fine now, other than normal maintenance days.

CGY - Frolik. Great penalty killer and all around solid player. Integral to Calgary winning. Probably not much value in return in a trade.
EDM - Kassian. Can't seem to score, but gets many chances due to his speed and hard work. Decent on the penalty kill. Very physical and likes to stick up for teammates. A little sloppy in his own end at times. Not much trade value at all.
WPG - Little. Maybe somewhat of a down year for him. But still a decent all around player. Solid in most aspects of the game. Maybe higher trade value than the other two, but still not what he is worth to his team.

Joakim Ryan, Joonas Donskoi, and Tim Heed.

3 guys that I came to post. You can be almost entirely certain that neither of those listed defensemen would return as much as Mirco Mueller did, yet both of them are legit top-4 dmen who have really helped our team while Mueller was trash.

Donskoi's value to the team was showcased tonight to anybody who was watching.

Sam Bennett for the Flames. I think he's generally viewed as a bust/near bust, but he still has an incredibly high ceiling and even if he never gets any better than he is now, he's a solid 3rd liner who plays physical and can pot a few.

Definitely Calle Jarnkrok for Nashville. Great contract, really good defensively and on the pk, but it's well known that he's bf's with Forsberg and the rest of the Swedes.

Alex Stalock.

Could probably fetch a mid round pick at best, but his value his much higher to the Wild. We finally have a reliable backup, something we haven't had in years.

Erik Johnson could probably still fetch a playoff team's 1st + okay prospect.... but I don't think that would offset the fact that the Avs would transform into a tire fire without him. Can't see any team offering the value it would take to make the Avs consider trading him.

Dimitri Jaskin.

The guy plays like bull on the ice, both positively and negatively. Tell him to bully his way through players and generate shot attempts on any line he’s on, and he’ll do it. Tell him to score a goal... well he at least generated the shot.
