Line Combos: Lines Until Matthews is Back

I don't like Nylander and Kadri together.

if Mathews misses significant time and if we continue to look as bad as we did last night i wouldn't count out Babs playing Nylander at C regardless of what he's said

yeah, that's how I took it. Nylander's little slump here just happened to coincide with Matthews injury, if Matthews were injured just a week or so ago nylander would of played C but babs is pissed at him right now so he stays on the wing. Although Marleau seems to genuinely dislike playing C from a few quotes ive seen, so hopefully Matthews isn't out too long

I'd assume matthews sits out this weekend.

But it was prior to monday's game iirc that he said if matthews couldn't go he might just flip willy to C.

Nylander line is probably the best possession line we can put together with what we have right now. Kadri line stays the way it is for match-ups. Marleau line should be sheltered offense with Martin parked in front of the net. JVR/Bozak should get under 10 minutes of even strength play almost exclusively in the offensive zone and regular PP time.

I think this is the safest lineup we can ice right now if the goal is to squeeze out a couple OT points while Matthews/Andersen are out.

Balances Offence and Defence. Bozak is hidden between Marleau and Hyman, Leivo with Kadri and Brown. JVR isnt terrible at D without Bozak and I'd imagine Nylander-Marner combo may dominate possession.
