News Article: Liam raises a fist against leukemia

First it was the Ice Bucket Challenge, an Internet craze where buckets of cold water and ice were dumped on people’s heads to spread awareness for ALS disease.

Now, #BumpOutCancer, created by 9-year-old Liam Fitzgerald and his mother Christine of Northborough, challenges people to take a picture or video of a fist bump, post it to social media with the hashtag, and donate $5 toward his Man of the Year campaign.

Fitzgerald rose to Internet fame after a video of him fist bumping Boston Bruins players hit the Web.

A few years ago Liam and his brother were down next to us for the pre game skate. We see them there whenever they come to the games.

Liam's brother said (kidding) "Maybe I can sit on the bench today and fist pump the Bruins" and Liam said "No, You are not famous like me". His Mom seems like a sweetie.
