That casino scene was eerily similar to the James Bond Macau scene. There was alot of similarities with James Bond in Black Panther for some reason.

Im waiting for Saul and 12 monkeys

My most anticipated TV series due out this year (perhaps ever) is Sharp Objects, but I'm a little worried given the minuscule amount of information/media on it released so far. It's inconceivable that HBO folds it, isn't it? I'd think so, but it's somewhat unnerving, to me at least.

I love watching random episodes of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Danny DeVito gets me ever time.

Mack: "Hey Frank what are you eating?"

Frank: "A hoagie."

Dee: "You're not eating a hoagie, you're just jamming meats and cheeses into your mouth."

Frank: "I like to make it in my mouth. It tastes better."

Anyone watching Waco and The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story? If so are they worth the watch? I really liked the OJ Simpson: American Crime Story but haven't tried the Gianni Versace series yet.

Just finished watching a Western named "Brimstone" starring Kit Harrington, Dakota Fanning and Guy Pearce. It's in the same vein of "harsh" modern Westerns in the style of Hateful Eight with over-the-top violence and cartoonish characters were really nothing is realistic. It's entertaining though in a horror movie sort of way. It's a case where the director also wrote the movie but the writing is awful and the directing is really good. At one point it tries to be a message movie but everything is so big that it fails to connect in this matter.

I started watching The Assassination of Gianni Versace I think at the 3rd episode. I am enjoying it and now wish I can watch the first two. They haven't repeated them yet.

Right now, waiting on Westworld. Walking Dead came back last night, but just have it on my DVR since I saw Black Panther last night. I personally thought it was quite different from other MCU movies. Not as action packed as I expected, but some nice world building to bring Wakanda to the forefront.

Like others, I got a James Bond vibe also.

Finished Peaky Blinders, liked it overall. Tom Hardy steals every scene he's in. He's the highlight of the show in spite of a very secondary role.

Anyone watched Taboo?

Anyone watching Z Nation?

I watched the first two seasons and a couple episodes of the 3rd. I totally get it’s intended to be more over the top and such, but I am having a hard time getting into it now. Of all things, it’s the acting that is wearing thin on me.

Maybe I am also suffering from zombie fatigue. I haven’t been enjoying The Walking Dead last few years though I still like Fear.

Loved Dunkirk. That kind of quilted storytelling could fall apart, but it was well done and created a broader scope of what was going on.

Whiplash was really good. JK Simmons is fantastic in almost everything he does. But y'know... some of the over-the-top actions took me out of the scene. There is just no way those things happen in any performance group. Great for dramatic heft; bad for realistic portrayal of ensemble musicianship.
Dunkirk was okay....had a good setting but could of had more storyline.

Anybody watched Seven Seconds?
Having a hard time with it. Like a wannabe version of the Shield.

I did and reviewed in past versions of this thread. It was easily one of my favorite series last year. I've PVRed and saved all of the episodes. Tom Hardy was born to play James Delaney. It's a dark drama, starts slow but is well worth sticking to. Only 8 episodes. Season 2 has been confirmed.
