Lool leafs arent trade either of them for both players offered in this deal. This is a bad deal for ducks but these two players dont uave the combined value to pull in nylander/marner

Someone points out that for the other team to ship those players away, some of Leafs valuable pieces have to be involved. Not even that it would be a realistic proposal. They just have to be involved in a discussion for team A to give up those assets.

What the heck is this? Montour is a highly mobile top4 maybe even already a top 3 defender with 40 point upside and a mean streak. Kase IS a top 6 winger.

Gauthier is a huge and thats all. Brown would be a nice player on our 3rd line but none Kase or Monty will be traded for him.

Maybe you can give us Marner for a 2nd a 3rd and Julius Nattinan.

I think that maybe his reasoning is that you would hold San Jose's draft pick, that 4th is the real key to this deal. Maybe if SJ wins the series he's thinking the GM may turn petty and hold the pick for ransom.

Aside from that I don't see any rational train of thought that makes this look relatively close.
