This thread is a permanent record of what lines were used during the playoffs. I'll edit this post as the playoffs continue. If Babcock tweaks the lines during a game, ideally someone notices and note could be made here.

We need plays that have skill AND can play physical. Our team is too soft.

Yeah say what you will about the 2013 squad, they weren't soft. Completely inept defensively for sure, and lacked strength down the middle (at least relative to now) but they weren't easily pushed around.

This team is still too young unfortunately and Boston is running amok on the ice. Not letting up on any hits, playing sneaky dirty. It doesn't help that the Leafs have been blown out twice and are getting demoralized with these large leads Boston keeps accumulating, so the willpower definitely falls.

No more excuses. They're at home now, crowd behind them, last change. If Babs provides an optimal lineup (instead of playing Komarov on the 1st line, though it doesn't seem like he'll have much choice in the matter) we can come back from this. We only need to win by one.

Although this will be offensive to propose, I think if Plekanec does well again next game this line combo could win the series win Kadri gets back:
Matthews-Plekanec-Hyman
Marleau-Kadri-Marner
JVR-Bozak-Brown
Johnsson-Nylander-Kapanen

Matthews gets matched against Pasta and he will destroy him, forget about it. Plek manages Bergy. Hyman and Marchand kick the shit out of each other.
Our other lines will definitely outmatch the Boston lines, not even close.

Roll the exact same lines next game. If Pleks repeats his performance:
Game#5:
JVR Matthews Nylander
Marleau Plek Marner (vs Marchand line)
Johnsson Kadri Kapanen (vs Marchand line)
Hyman Bozak Brown

I like.
But Hyman will stay up.

I'm fine in seeing Plekanec given the steady does of marchand line and throw the Kadri line out there for the second half of their shift (they seem to stay out there long). Then roll into our scoring lines.

Hyman has been our best player through 3 games, he shouldnt be demoted. Dont fix what aint broken.

When Kadri is back the Leafs run 3 2nd lines and a 1st. The Matthews and Plek line get the most minutes (offensive and defensive respectively). Then:

Johnsson Kadri Kapanen
JVR Bozak Brown

Share the remaining minutes, Kadri ideally against Krejci and Bozak up against Kuraly

What's the obsession with our line combinations on here? Our coaching staff makes the lineup so, why does everybody have to make their own fantasy lineup? It seems to be all I ever read about.
