I'm surprised 2 out of 3 brothers chose to go the defenseman route. They aren't the biggest kids in the world, and it would've been an easier path for them to have grown up as forwards.

It's interesting how a family like the Hughes' are all absolutely phenomenal skaters, then you have families like the Strome's and the Reinhart's where everyone is a poor skater.

Also interesting to me that Andrei Svechnikov is a much better skater than his brother Evgeny.

If you combined the Strome's and the McLeod's (who are neighbors) you'd have a superstar prospect. Someone put it to me best. All the Stromes can think but can't skate, all the McLeod's can skate but not think.

And the Hughes' do both?

Yes, I think the only knock on them would be size and defensive play (and that's more Quinn). Although, I know next to nothing about Luke. I'm sure we will hear more about his game now that he's in his OHL draft year.

Id say well get a better look at him with Team USA at next years Youth Olympics tournament (assuming he makes it of course).
