Of course they won't admit he has the mumps, cause then they would have admitted negligence letting Crosby be around the team and the media looking like THAT. That's worse than some of our medical staff's foibles a few years back.

I don't believe a WORD from the Penguins or their medical staff regarding injuries. It goes way back to Lemieux back injury days. They have a long history of misleading and straight up lying to the media about these things. NO indication that Crosby has the mumps??? How about a right cheek that is the size of a freaking cantaloupe?! I wouldn't be surprised at all if that is what he has.

Almost every team does this, to some extent. That's why I laugh and shake my head when people ***** about our supposed "secretiveness" about injuries. Like the Devils are some kind of outlier when it comes to non-disclosure.
