What a statement it would be for us to win this game! We don't need to prove anything to ourselves and all Jets fans. But for the rest of the hockey world and nay sayers..... if we can knock off the first and second place OA teams in the NHL in consecutive games. Will we finally get the love?

Great news!

Scheifele's promotion & subsequent emergence as the teams #1 centre coincided with the Little injury back in 2016. Since that date back in October of last season he's been a point per game player as well the leagues 5th best points producer.

Now the roles have reversed.

Bryan Little had 5 goals in 37 games prior to Scheifele going down. He's tripled his output with 5 goals in the 13 games since.

This team is already a force. Scheifele's return is going to take this team to a gear few thought possible.

Very exciting time to be a Jets fan!

I was thinking about how last year some time I read a post along the lines of
"Who will be higher in the standings, the Vegas expansion team or the Jets?"

I couldn't imagine at the time that the answer would be "Vegas" and we'd all be as happy with the season as we are so far.

I know I got a lot of flak earlier this seasn for proclaiming that the Winnipeg Jets are Stanley Cup Contenders. This is now being aped in the general media.

Given our favourable schedule for the remainder of the year, I am now prepared to make another proclamation.

Our Winnipeg Jets will have a clear shot at the Presidents’ Trophy.

TB is faltering and I still think Vegas will falter a bit.

Nice to see. Kinda surprised we are ahead of Vegas. They are still doing well and everyone and their mother seems to have a thing with them.
