This game was planned in Shanghai, but because of the Party event on arena, Kunlun wanted to play a few "home" games on ice of opponent (vs Traktor, Lada, Magnitka). So the KHL re-schedulled it, games to be played on ice of opponent. Within a day or so, Kunlun informed the league, that these games can be played in Shanghai. But, Traktor sold tickets for this game ... both sides agreed that this game will be played in Chelyabinsk. Rest of reschedulled games were played in Shanghai.

Thanks. Well if nothing else, it's by far the best crowd Kunlun have had for a home game all year :)

Is Igor Ozhiganov's lack of point production due to the aforementioned packed lineup of ex-NHLers newly acquired by CSKA Moscow, or has it been his game has been off?

Just not being trusted by the coach, same with Kiselevich. Just a victim of the way CSKA is now.

Could someone offer a scouting report on Valeri Vasilyev? Is he the 1D on Severstal right now?

At this point, with Yevseenkov, Korneev and Stasenko injured he arguably is. Otherwise, nope.

Sergei Mozyakin has 26 points in 24 games and somehow I was under the impression he is having a terrible season.

It might be time to acknowledge that Neftekhimik are a pretty good team this year. The early season success could be chalked up to a bit of a soft schedule, but they've now won 4 of their last 6 games, and the W's came against: Magnitka tonight, Avto, Loko and Dynamo Moscow. Those are hardly dog teams. In fact all four would be in the playoffs if they started today. One of their 2 losses came to SKA in St. Petersburg, and they actually lead that game in the third period before the wheels came off. Neftekhimik now sit 3rd in the East only 5 points back of Ak Bars.

The funniest part: 2 of 3 Spartak's goals (incl GWG) came from ex-SKA players - Khokhlachev and Dergachyov. Nice story.
