Not sure which moment I jumped higher at or screamed louder for: Tyler Bozak scoring SH (after those a-hole Jets fans let all the Leafs fans in attendance know how awesome the Jets were when they got their SH moments earlier...)

or when the Leafs managed to not only score on the PP, but that it was Kessel who scored it, when they had been chanting KES-SEL through the TV time out mere moments before that goal.

Ah my friends, let me say, leaving the MTS Centre last night was glorious. Absolutely glorious. Best feeling I've had as a Leaf fan in my life.

haha I was driving home with my roommate last night listening to the game on the radio and as soon as I heard Joe Bowen scream "Kesssulllllll!!" I screamed louder than I have for a Leaf goal in a long time. My roommate claims he's gone deaf in his left ear now hahaha

Felt like a weight off MY shoulders I can only imagine how Phil feels haha happy for him and the team.

Wow guys, we're not "smug" Jets fans, we're not chanting Leafs Suck because we actually think they suck, we're just having some fun. It's almost like you're all angry at us for something, relax! None of it is serious, (well ok, I'm sure some of us do think the Leafs suck but does that really surprise you? After all, there's lots of you that think the Jets suck!) I'm betting you'd all be having just as much of a good time as us if you were here! The attacks on our city are just ridiculous, I'm betting the more vocal of you have never even been to Winnipeg. It's actually a pretty nice city, different from Toronto, but who wants every city to be the same?

Anyway to the guy asking if the fans that were escorted out were Leafs fans or a mix, the first time it was a couple of really, really obnoxious Leafs fans and the second time it was a mix. There's some idiots in both fanbases, that's for sure! The usher in our section was changed permanently to a security-looking type of guy this year due to some of the idiots in the section next to us.

There were probably more Leafs fans last night than fans of other teams when their respective teams showed up. The runner-up would definitely be the Pens. Several times we had to roar louder with a Go Jets Go, just to drown out the Go Leafs Go! I was kind of surprised that we didn't come up with anything really creative last night, usually there's something new. Oh well, we've got time to think of something for the next game! We've got just over a month until the Leafs are back in town (and then, hopefully playoffs! ).

Yeah, Leafs Nation is huge in Manitoba. When there were no Jets, most 'Peggers were Leafs fans. Lots of old guys in Leafs jerseys and a lot of twenty-somethings and teens.

I think if you were born after 1964 but before 1990 you're a Jets fan, otherwise mainly Leafs.

Lots of Flyers fans too, actually, because Bobby Clarke is from Flin Flon MB...

To be fair your GDT is pretty harsh towards the Leafs. Last years Jets GDTs were pretty nasty too.

To be fair your GDT is pretty harsh towards the Leafs. Last years Jets GDTs were pretty nasty too.

Yeah, you probably have a point there. Usually on both sides, it's a few people who just cross the line and both of our regular posters know which ones to ignore, but of course the visitors to the GDTs don't. Oh well, I can deal with it. It's not like you're Habs fans or anything.

Antro's speed has nothing to do with his game, he has a way of getting to where he needs to be. The other two, well I'm not real happy with them at all. Want them back?

You can actually hear a Go Leafs Go chant when that line is on the ice, no matter who we're playing.

Judging from the fact that the Leafs have more fans at the game than any other visiting team did, I'd say that's not really the case. You do get the "they think they're the center of the world" vibe about Toronto for sure, but not sure it's actual hate.

(I do hate your airport though, no restaurants open after 6pm? Crazyness! )

This game got me worried. Mainly because jets big forwards beat us to most pucks and were very fast on pressuring our D and first outlet pass all night long. I thought we supposed to be fast team, no?
Jets created fair amount of turnovers and we barely could cross the red line for long periods of time.
RoD pretty much kept us in the game. Then jets took that penalty, which was only matter of time as they were on the body all night long. You live by the sword, you die by the sword.
Good thing we turned on the jets a bit in the 3rd and really got 2 points out of the game we otherwise had no business being in.
