He is currently playing in the NCAA playoffs and expected to sign as an UFA with an NHL team in a couple of weeks. Danis (G) signed with Montreal and Pock (D) signed with the Rangers very recently in similar moves.

I know nothing about Junior Lessard aside from that he is from Quebec and he is a scoring forward. On TSN's Powerplay (Hotstove), it was mentioned that 10 to 15 NHL teams would be interested in signing this Hobey Baker finalist.

Has anyone seen this guy play or know stuff about him? What type of forward is he?

Its surprising with that type of hype how tough it is to get a good scouting report on the guy.

I saw him a few weeks ago against UMinn and he looked asleep. He's not the biggest guy, but skates well, and has a good shot, but he did nothing in a big game and was run and gun, so tough to get a read on him.

Just watched him play against UMinn again, but this game he was a lot better. No pts, but was on the ice a lot in a very good game. He had a few good passes, and made one good defensive play on Vanek down low where he outmuscled him along the boards.

UMD take on Denver in what should be a good one for sure! :yo: :handclap: Congrats to UMD for the big win.
