You have some weird fascination with my finances or it is coming off that way. Mostly joking.

I go to only a handful of games a year and can easily time it with trips for work but even if I couldn't flights are really cheap to Chicago.

From a moving tickets standpoint, it seems like your buyer list is a bit bandwagon type (not you personally). They people who buy our seats are hockey fans in general so that helps us out a lot along with early sales.

The booing is already happening and honestly I think longterm that will partially be what fixes him. Kane is a "love of the game" type while Toews is a "fire from within" type. Not saying Kane is not competitive, to be clear.

I know the flight cost well. Not cheap. Good ol' AC.

The buyer list has not been good all year. It was okay last year but not great. It's almost like the bandwagon was really only there for one year after the latest cup. It took a step down last year for unexplained reasons and that first round sweep was a big body blow to it. I just think the cost of the tics relative to demand is high. Also this year's schedule took away many of the Sunday games which people in the suburbs really like due to the massive sprawl that is Chicagoland.

If you are only going to a few games a year it doesn't matter. When you are asked to drop $20k knowing that next years secondary market will probably follow the trend and be worse than this year....well ya bail.

So you think more booing will fix our Captain Cauliflower? I doubt that. His trend line looks a lot like the demand for tickets. Unfortunately.

You realize I live in Minnesota right? Flights are cheap from MN but so are flights from Toronto ($250ish from Toronto and sub $200 from MN).

Do I think it will be a factor in him getting the drive back? Yes but I don't think that will be the driving factor in fixing him.

Captain Cauliflower? This nickname makes little sense and is almost as back as Nick Skille or Corey Colander. Just stop.

What the hell do you think the Captain is stuffing his face with these days?

Sorry you aren't from the Great White North BK. Minnesota has got it all but just ain't a member of the club. You just don't see the Captain and his Crappy Tire ads.

Well strength is only 1 component to study ..how about brain function/reaction time ..how about cardio-vascular stamina ?how about muscle function sustainability for exertion purposes. .how about hand/eye co-ordination ?Finally how about shooting %?

THEN what about the method of delivery of tge veggies into the body?Toews apoarently loves his smoothies....is such delivery the best method for maximum benefit resulting in good sports performance OR woukd taking them in Solid format be the better way to max results?

Finally ..Rather than study a 100% veggie diet vs. A normal meat-eating diet ..how about the "efficient frontier" finding. .tgat is tge best combo of veggies with sone meat protein intakes?Dies this study confirm that a 100% vegetarian diet has the same performance resukts as a diet of eating meat or fish protein with every meal ..with only 2 meals or every 1 meal or meat and fish in lesser than 1 meal a day type diets ?Again the parameters of this study need to be examined a lot more closely before we can definitely rule out Toews diet as a cause for performance decline ..

As to correlation not causality ...was Toews switching his diet exactly correlated in time to performance decline since after the last Cup win ...or did he change it before...because if he changed it only after tge last Cup ,it certainly is a correlation to investigate ..but it may only be a co-incidence..

Likewise. have tgey studied guys who went to Machu Picchu ..saw the light in a cosmic existential awakening and switched to tge Vegetarian or Vegan diets thereafter. .Perhaps the 2 things in combo (switching off meat
After visiting Machu Picchu )change tge usual finding tgat Vegetarian/Vegan athletes can perform just as well as meat eaters?
Thus they have to studysuch athlwtes whowentvto Machu Picchuthen switched of meat vs. athletes who never went there but switched off meat ..vs a 3rd set...those athletes who did go there but kept eating meat ...

Unless we get performance data for alk these different sets we cannot say whether swi thing off meat or merely visit g Machu Picchu is a primary cause for the Toews Performa ce decline. . UT could be a combo of both ..which if you are an athlete means that if you visit Machu Picchu then never go off your meat intake Ir if you plan to go Vegetarian or Vegan, never visit Machu Picchu !

ALAS tge study as is is pretty useless in answering our questions on tge cause of Toews decline. IT simply is too simplistic a study..more factors lije Machu Picchu visits also must be included.
It is sort of like the propaganda on climate change (notice they never use global warming anymore) but they always only blame Co2 increase from human fossil fuel consumption as the main cause of "climate change" ..tgey never examine sun activity ,internal geophysical thermal changes from magnetic and volcanic act ivi ty in the Earth interior ,effects of planetary orbits I n tge solar system, and eve tge approach of Planet X theory ..they just do not look at All posdible factors influencing bg climate changes which by the way in love cooling for some climates in certain parts of th temoerature risrs in otherbparts of tge globe..Clinate always chamges and is never is static..but to simplistic ally blame man for causing climate change because we burn too much carbon is way too preposterous given alklthe other factors involved ...

So ..yes we similarly cannot blame just Vegetarian or Vegan diets for athletic performance declines..Could be other factors..But maybe in combo with other factors it has sone % effect ...you have to look at a wide range of inputs to the issue. .And just like clinate change, the diet effects might be different for different player's or body types or ages as Co2 increases may produce differing effects in different regions of tge globe.

All this is to say you can find any "truth" with any study if you include ir exclude certain data ...Just as any study can also be fudged to leave out certain date a that drastically change the first dings if you Pay tge researchers to find what you want them to find..

So who paid the researchers for thus study of Vegetarian athletes vs. Meat eater athletes us also a key item we should know ..If it was the fon't eat animals for food lobby..we then the study is ore biased. .If it was some Vegetarian ir Vegan lobby group ..again biased. .We need to know All the facts on the study.

However..Maybe Toews performance deckubecrekatescto other causes lijechis genetics? Maybe they agecore-maturely in his family?
.
The real -take away is not the cause of tge decline of #19 ..but rather the FACT he has under-performrd now for 2 seasons plus tge season to date . WE HAVE not even got his spurt of 6 weeks of exvlkence which he gave in both previous 58 points seasons..but this season he is even worse withoutvthatcspurt which he mist give now or indeed see the decline trending even further down ..It has gone on so long that thinking of any comeback year to his "best in the NJL" god-lije star status near 70 points and near 30 goals seems like VA preposterous wish .The Country Club fat-cat version of Toews seems with us till his contract runs out ...lamentable.

Stick with the Machu Picchu schtick. It makes far more sense than your nutritional thesis.

/\ I agree that the Earth’s natural life cycles explain most of the climate change and it would be arrogant to believe otherwise. That said, we have the brain power and technology to minimize the human impact and we will continue to work toward that goal. Personally, I think there should be a carbon emissions tax on classic cars and those big ass monster trucks everyone has these days. Use the money as a tax credit to people who drive fuel efficient cars. Everyone wins.
I completely agree. If the government gave Toews tax credit for his fuel efficient monster truck, it would lessen his brain activity and help him play much better on the ice.

Go back to the History of Hockey board and post this in your Toews thread, and see what the response is. I’m sure they’ll (rightly) set you straight once again.

This is more typical of Toews’ scoring. Nice goal and assist.

Seriously. 'Classic Toews' is a big game monster.

WOW, had to go find a 5 year old clip?
Just the one that came to mind. Don't remember the daily stuff, but probably could have looked something up. He did use the word "classic", so I thought it was fair game. Anything else is revisionist history based on the last two years.

I just loved that game .. even more than the game six in Philly in 2010.
That 17 seconds sequence was the stuff of legends!
