O'Neil had a great run in the AHL playoffs. Not sure if his skills will translate to the NHL level, but he could see a call-up if there are enough injuries.

Now that contract I would call a reward. IIRC he had been dropped and signed to an AHL contract so this means they are giving him another chance.

Dmen sometimes do develop late. I'm not holding my breath but I'm hoping he is one of those. It is a 2 way deal and the Jets don't have a lot of D prospects waiting in line behind him yet so there is room.
