Here's a fun fact: Since curling made its return to the Winter Olympics in 1998, a Canadian team had never finished out of the medals in men's or women's curling.

I think I know why Rachel's husband was drinking so much. He knew he would be dealing with Canada's answer to Hope Solo soon. I wonder if the athletes have to pay damage deposits on their rooms?

Thanks to a Swedish buddy I've got Swedish sports channels. They play classic games all the time and it's pretty cool. Right now it's a 2008-09 game between Skelleftea and Modo featuring Peter Forsberg, Zuccarello before the Rangers signed him, a draft eligible Victor Hedman. Forsberg only played 3 games that year so maybe that's why it's considered classic. He scores in a couple minutes so I'm kinda excited. Haha.

Incredibly undisciplined game for a bunch of guys that this will be their ONLY chance ever playing in the Olympics. Not disappointed at the result, disappointed in the execution.

I don't even care that we won't win gold (or possibly even bronze) in mediocre hockey. It's not a best on best tourney, have fun bragging you beat Derek Roy, Mason Raymond et al. The men's and women's curling teams not even medaling, that is far more embarrassing and concerning.
