Not go in for the monster hit. I agree that this is what hockey has always been, but with players being faster, equipment tougher, and the head still the same, this is what the NHL wants out of the game. Do not hit the head, clean dirty or other. The concept isn't hard to understand.

Apparently not fast enough since he couldn't avoid a hit from old man Carter.

I love all the "clean hit" comments. This is exactly what the NHl is trying to get rid of. First point of contact was Kerfoots chin. Sure Carter is taller so his "clean hit" turns into head contact, but this is the crap that ends guys careers.

And the Leafs are a bunch of *****es. Coes anyone stick up for anyone there?
