Only NHLers with more than 50 games of NHL experience are available to be drafted in the NHLers fantasy draft and only players who've been drafted or signed by an NHL team and have less than 50 games of NHL experience (25 games in the case of goalies) are available in the prospects fantasy draft. The NHLers fantasy draft will be 25 rounds long and the prospects draft 8 rounds long.

The Flames are looking to move their first round pick in the prospects draft for a first round pick in the NHLers draft. Additional picks can be added in to balance it out. My pick is soon, so make your offers soon.

Under interim GM Jon Burke, the Colorado Avalanche are pleased to select defenseman Cam Barker, who'll supply them with a young, stud defenseman with solid puckmoving skills and a willingness to play a physical game. It's likely he'll get to play for the big squad in the upcoming season.

The Red Wings, also under interim management, are pleased to select right winger Andrei Kostsitsyn, who they feel is not quite NHL-ready, yet will potentially provide them with a sniper a few years down the road. His epiletic condition is a concern, but the Red Wings medical staff feels it can be controlled with medication and that his talent is too great to pass him over.

The Atlanta Thrashers are proud to select Igor Grigorenko.

Do these guys count towards our salary?

And what if we select a guy in the prospect draft who we expect to be in our main roster? Can we put someone who we draft in the main draft in our farm team?

These guys only count towards your payroll if they're on your roster, which they may be if you so choose. So yes you may put a prospect on your main roster and a guy on the main draft on your farm team, however the NHLer you put on your farm team has to make less than $1 million (to prevent people from stacking their farm team).

Nice pick, BTW.
