You have the Kings selecting Claude Giroux with the 11th pick?

I can't envision Giroux even being selected in the first round....let alone in the top 15. :amazed:

How much you wanna bet he'll be selected in the 1st round?

On Toews: I just see him falling, there's 8 players I would take before him and not that I see it happening on draft day but perhaps the top 8 teams will think the same. You never know.

On Frolik: He's stopped developping this year so it might turn scouts off, that's why I see him falling.

On Giroux: Giroux is one heck of a hockey player and if it wasn't for his size everyone would have him top 15 for sure. But guess what, size doesn't matter anymore in the new NHL. Watch out for Claude.

On Daugavins: I'm very high on Kaspars and I'd love my team to grab him in the 2nd round. I seriously doubt he falls out of the top 60, he's a riser and has 1st line potential.

Wow Toews at 9?! I mean, there aren't many holes in his game. He is considered a coach's dream. The type of player you win with. I could see guys like Staal and Mueller falling the way you have it because they are players who still have to put the pieces together, and I love Brassard going to the Bruins, but I just can't see Toews falling that far?

I'm interested to know why you think he'd fall. Is it purely just a hunch?

Well, from a Habs perspective they get not one, but two project defenseman in Vishnevskiy and Williams. That ought to please those who have been calling for an upgrade in the prospect pool at that sorely needed position (it gets very thin after Emelin and O'Byrne). Although Williams does have his doubters and Vish has got to prove he won't be too much of a defensive liability in the pros. I just can't remember the last time the Habs have used their top two picks on defence.

The odds of Giroux being selected within two picks of Toews are about as high as Buffalo beating Ottawa in five games in a playoff series. Wait a minute...

I give you credit for making a list, but you have the Devils going goalie in the first and a foward in the second. Not happening ....Our need is a defensemen with a good shot from the point. However, if the best player available in the first round is a forward, Devils will go forward then defense.

Ducks fan here. I like the fact that you mock draft isn't just a repeat of the consensus of others. From a Ducks' point of view, here are my comments:

1. I'd be delighted if Bobby Sanguenetti fell to the Ducks at # 20.

2. I don't know anything about the kid you have the Ducks drafting in the
second round, Ondrej Fiala. What can you tell me about him.

3. As happy as I would be to have Sanguenetti fall to the Duck at # 20,
I'd prefer that the 20th pick belong to San Jose and the Ducks would
be forced to draft 30th overall. :)
