Wolves were in Tucson this weekend, I've got no clue if he played.

Found the box score, and Garrison did play. I knew the AHL were doing their All-Star thing yesterday and today, and I didn't realize there were still games Saturday.

Edit: He also played with the Wolves in Tucson Friday.

NHL doesn't allow "paper" transactions as it could be considered cap circumventing.

(Now, there is often some movement on trade deadline day, where guys are "assigned" to AHL, but then recalled after the TDL when the roster limits are removed. In that case, you might "schedule" a flight for later in the day rather than early morning.)
