He lookes burned out in Anaheim. Maybe a change of scenery would do him well. 1 year left at $3.75 cap-hit. Anaheim is probably looking for a RHD.

Unless Anaheim is trying to clear cap space or start a rebuild, they shouldn't take futures for Silfverberg. They need proven players who can play right away. Not interested in a RHD. Mid-late first straight up.

The point of moving Silfverberg would be if we don’t think we’ll extend him and we don’t want to lose him in FA, and we think one of our prospects (Terry hopefully) can take his spot in the lineup.Unless Anaheim is trying to clear cap space or start a rebuild, they shouldn't take futures for Silfverberg. Not sure how Id feel about this but would have to be something around Bennett and a 1st.Flames could most definitely use him, a right handed RW, oh boy. He also torches us and looks dangerous in every game he plays against us.
Don't think the Ducks would trade him to us though, and the Flames from an asset POV doesn't make sense (all we got is fairly good d prospects).
not happening. Bennett might get traded this offseason but there is simply no way the difference between him and silv is a first. I certainly think Silvf has slightly more value, even though Bennett plays a really hardnosed game and still has lots of potential, but hard pass on a 1stNot sure how Id feel about this but would have to be something around Bennett and a 1st.

Even then the only way I see the Ducks doing that is if it's looking like they won't make the playoffs. Using up the final year of his deal in a playoff run is going to be more valuable than what would be coming back in return, even in the summer. Teams usually pay a premium to rent players as reliable as he is in the postseason, so if you already have someone like that in the system it's better to load up and let him walk in the summer.Eh, even if they don't think they can re-sign him they're better to wait and get a 1st at the TDL after they're sure Terry or whoever is actually ready for NHL ice. The very last thing we need is to roll into November and realize "hey none of these guys are actually ready but we have no other options because we traded Silfvy off already. Oopsie"

I think I’d do it.
I like him a lot and think he'd have much more of an impact next year than Silf.Gardiner playing on our third pairing then?
