Business of Hockey Arizona/Phoenix thread is probably the right spot.

The BoH is very experienced with relocation, Phoenix, and the combination of those two things

What? Yes of course it's set in stone. By all intents and purposes we are in a 31 team NHL now. It's just one team won't be competing next year but setting up everything they need to compete the year after. It's done. Expansion payment made. NHL ice laid, discussions with Reebok for branding, staff hired...relocation to Vegas is out. It won't happen.

Is it still possible to move the Coyotes to Las Vegas if they get no lease extension?

Wasn't sure where to ask this and didn't want to step on anyone's toes in the Business forum thread on the Coyotes.

A) Nope.

B) Stepping on people's toes in BoH/Coyotes Megathreads is the actual mission statement of those threads.

As improbable as it is, there's almost positively a few pages worth of discussion out there on the subject if you really want to get into it. We just won't do it here. Check out the BoH thread.

I'll leave this thread open if there's anyone that wants to throw their two cents in on why it's impossible, but this is the board for the expansion Las Vegas team. If the world completely turns on its side, the one in a million chance happens, the server hosting the Vegas board gets struck by lightning three times, and the sky turns purple we'll deal with it then.
