He's huge, there are maybe 3 defenseman in the league that could clear him from the front of the net, and that's a big maybe. He gets to the dirty areas and wins most board battles, and his playmaking has gotten much better over the past year.

He is a true power forward with a very good scoring touch.

Playing with Tavares certainly doesn't hurt his stats, but I honestly believe he'd be effective for all other 30 NHL teams.

He basically would be effective for any team that could get the puck towards the net

He's a tree in front of the net...and those hands.

Lee and Tavares with 31 goals so far. They should easily reach 80 if healthy.

I was wrong about him I said he was a product of Tavares but after viewing a lot more Islanders games this season I will accept my plate of crow.

Not your fault. Many people have said the same thing. Most guys that played with JT are a product of Tavares. Thankfully Lee isn’t one of them.

I think it's fair to say his goal totals will always be the product of the rest of the team's ability to get the puck to him, in that regard Tavares opens up the ice for him

I always thought he was Todd Bertuzzi 2.0 big frame hard to move but also soft hands. He's going to have an insane peak.

He was a beast in youth hockey, never mind HS. His big challenge in the NHL is learning how to play without having his lack of speed hurt him.

Always a pain in the ass for the Pens. Reason no one pays attention to his numbers is because he doesn't score flashy goals.

He'll definitely slow down, as I do not see him finishing the year top five in goals.

He should however bank 30+ goals again and a lot of his shots are in the high danger area and he plays with players who get the puck in those areas and often, so that helps.
