What's the deal with Kamenev? Why can guys like Sissons make our roster but he's always in Milwaukee? I love Sissons but should not a skilled player like Kamenev make the roster on a high skill team.

Still surprised we didn't see Kamanev out of camp - he looked great preseason and I would have seen him in above the likes of Mcleod at least - I think Sissons earned a few early games in his playoff showing, you can't really bench a guy immediately after that I think, Mcleod on the other hand... But still, Kamanev needs to come up and show what he can do soon.

Simple....he would be paired with McLeod, is that really the best spot for him instead of top line minutes he gets in Milwaukee?

3C would be his to take rn..
I honestly think the issue is complex. Poile just signed Bonino so he's playing no matter what. Sissons stepped up big in Johansen's absense during the playoffs so he's getting rewarded now, it would take big string of bad play to scratch him. Jarnkrok was protected in place of Neal, therefore he can't be scratched otherwise it would really make this letting Neal go situation even worse......So where do you place him?

Fiala-Bonino-Smith
Hartnell-Kamenev-Aberg
Watson-Sissons-Jarnkrok

And you are leaving off Mcleod or Salomaki. At least one of them will be in the line up at all times. Lavy seems to like his tough guy line.

Corey Pronman graded each organization for the 2014 draft, for the Athletic (really glad he's not at ESPN anymore):

Thirty goals for Arvy last season. How many do you need to be a star? 40? 50? Fiala had 11 g in 54 games. He should have 15 to 20 in a full season. Kam will score 10 goals in his first NHL season, whenever that will be. He will add 5 more goals a season after that for awhile. He is a two way player and a good passer. Kam will score 15 assists in that first NHL season.

Craig Smith could get back to 20 goals a year. He is only 28. I expect FF to hit 40 goals this year.

Ejdsell with pretty good stats, could he become something? Think he comes over once the SHL season is over.

Admirals are the only unbeaten team remaining in the AHL with a 5-3 win against Rockford today.

Kelleher (2) - Pettersson (2), O'Brien (1)
Zolnierczyk (2) - Murphy (3), Dougherty (3) (PP)
Butler (2) - Pettersson (3), Kelleher (1) (PP)
Dougherty (1) - Zolnierczyk (2), Gaudreau (3)
Kelleher (3) - Labrie (1) (EN)

Lindback stopped 35 of 38. Next up is the home opener on Friday against Hershey who are visiting for the first time since the 2006 Calder Cup Finals.

How does the AHL schedule work that Hershey hasn't been there since the 2006 Finals?

East teams never want to travel and you can't only visit them. If you play a team on the road, they have to visit you. The Admirals finally convinced Hershey and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton that they can do a road trip and hit all the teams in the area to keep travel costs down instead of just travelling 750 miles for one team.

Well based on lines tweeted from adsroundtable for yesterday's game, it looked like Freddy as he was listed on the first line.
I didn't know if Milwaukee's line orientation was an indicator of how the Preds had their prospects ranked or not.

Really hope it's Kamenev. Otherwise, we're becoming a really undersized team forward-wise. Also, Kam needs his chance.
