With the expansion draft and entry drafts approaching, we need to communicate some key upcoming dates to everyone.
Below you can find a time line:
Monday, June 5 - Mandatory Prospect Activations Due
Tuesday, June 6 - Trade Freeze Goes Into Effect Before the Expansion Draft
Thursday, June 8 - Expansion Draft Protected Lists are Due
Saturday, June 10 - Expansion Draft is Held (and trade freeze is lifted)
Saturday, June 17 - 2017 HFNHL Entry Draft (Rounds 1-3)
Thursday, June 22 - 2017 HFNHL Entry Draft Lists are Due for Rounds 4-7 (at 3:00pm EST)
RE: Prospect Activations
Remember, Skaters will now need to be signed after playing 50 games in the NHL. Goalies will now need to be signed after playing 20 games in the NHL.
This needs to be done prior to the Expansion Draft, so that players who need to be protected, will show up on active rosters.
These activations will need to be sent to the player agents before June 5th.

Every GM needs to meet these requirements, so if you have to make deals to have the players necessary, do so!

Reminder RE: Eligibility Rules
NA players must be born between 1997, 1998, and January 1-September 15, 1999. European players are the same, however (in addition), players born in 1995 and 1996 are also eligible (must be playing in Europe or playing pro and their original draft year was played in Europe).
Entry Draft Order will be released closer to the draft.
As will instructions and location (we'll get a chat going again).
