The Rempire State
Malamud is a total bozo who spreads completely unsubstantiated claims & pedals propaganda
Literally nothing from his pathetic "twitter thread" (lol at taking twitter threads as serious journalism) was true.
The KHL's salary cap works completely different than the NHL's, SKA are not surreptitiously circumventing it, that goal call was made because of the arena having really crappy cameras/tech, and literally everything he was describing happens in other countries sports leagues but they're not big bad Russia so it's no big deal.

SKA lost 1:2. In the previous two wins Koskinen allowed 2 goals total. What would be a reasonable basis to change goalie in a series tied 2:2?

If Putin really cared he'd just play goalie himself. The puck would never come anywhere close to the net and he'd probably also score seven goals.

Pretty much. There are videos on utube where he's "playing" with Russian HOF veterans. Hilarious.

Well yeah, they're not allowed to try to defend against him or impede him in any way.

SKA lost 1-0 today, Isles starting goalie got the bench and their backup shot out SKA.

It says Shestyorkin played 1 minute during the game and saved 2 shots? Not sure why he went in for a minute.

Rykov didn't even get 9 minutes of ice time.

SKA down 3-2 in the series. Good.

Koskinen hasn't been bad, but the CSKA goalies have been better. Some coaches will change up the goalie to change things around for the team, especially when the back up is very good to begin with. In this case, the back up is a better player than the starter.

Yup, that's what CSKA did and oh look, they got a 1-0 shutout win. Go figure. The russian AV is coaching SKA.

SKA is now in the same position where CSKA was in terms of a decision that has to be made to continue to go with a goalie that really wasn’t the reason for the loss or bring a very capable backup. It’s a risky move. It might work but just as well it might not.

It's all over for SKA!!

They blew a 2-0 lead today and lost 3-2 in OT and lost the series. Our boy never got a game in during the playoffs. Glad they got eliminated.

Embarrassing defeat as they were the favorites to repeat as champions again.

The CSKA goalies were excellent in this series, Koskinen was average. Shestyorkin has proven himself to be better than Koskinen, maybe Shestyorkin will get to start in the playoffs next season because of this.

Sorokin wasn’t good. Johansson (sp?) was.
