Every pair of skates I have owned has had the Tuuk classic holder/chassis. Currently they are Bauer Supreme 5000s - My problem is this; the steel runner keeps coming loose in the chassis - I have to have it tightened about every 6 months and it's really annoying, and as I'm sure most of you know with that style of chassis you have to go through the footbed to tighten it and here I have to have them taken in. I had the same problem with my previous skates, Daoust 501s. What of this?, and does anyone recommend a better chassis to install on the boot that I won't have this problem with, or one that I can tighten myself should it come loose (eg - the exterior bolts on the CCM and Mission, Easton chassis)

Thanks

Try putting LocTite on the threads when they tighten the nuts back down. If the place that is fixing your skate doesn't have any you can pick some up at an auto parts store. It's cheap and in a small tube that would be easy to work with in the small space. Try that or small lock washers.
