Matt White, LW – Ontario Reign (ECHL)

Rookie pro Matt White isn’t having trouble finding offence lately as he rides a three‐game streak of twopoint games. The California native has earned six points (1G, 5A) and a +6 rating over the last three games with the Ontario Reign. He now sits four points back of the ECHL rookie scoring lead with 14 points (6G, 8A) in 20 games this season.

I thought we didn't sign him?

Jets are either very poor at communicating with the media people or they intentionally mislead the public. John Albert has been listed as "In the System" for the past 3 years, despite just re-joining the organization in summer. Other guys were never even included in "In The System" when they were there. It's a mess.

From studying the CBA, unless the Jets voluntarily gave up rights to JST, they own his rights until August 15th, 2014. End of story.

Them NOT signing JST would be a much much worse mistake than not signing Yuen or Saponari. He's big, he's strong, he's fast, he loves to hit. He's going to be a great 3rd/4th liner.

This Matt White kid? Who cares. Not protected by Jets and plain not very good, yet gets these reports? Urgh, Jets official media is just crap.

This is the same team that listed Matt Halischuk on their website before announcing the signing - entirely possible that they signed Matt White and didn't tell anybody. I wanna know how close they are to the contract limit.
