[FIELDSET="BACKGROUND"]• This game takes place at the end of the 2013-2014 NHL season.
• The game will include the 2014 NHL Draft, free agency, and the 2014-2015 season.
• Because the 2014 free agency class is so abysmal, not only will the players from unselected teams be dispersed into free agency, teams will have three players on their active roster, selected randomly, that will automatically become an unrestricted free agent.[/FIELDSET]
[FIELDSET="SALARY CAP"]• Salary Cap: $75,000,000 (May be subject to change)
• All teams MUST be under the salary cap at all times. A violation of this rule will result in a firing.
• Use Armchair GM to calculate your team's cap, and include it in your roster post.[/FIELDSET]
[FIELDSET="WAIVERS"]• If you'd like to place a player on waivers, post a new thread in the free agency forum with the player's name.
• To save time and avoid confusion and complications, waivers will be "first come, first serve". Whoever puts in a claim first will get the player. Post a claim by posting "[insert team here] claims" in the player's waive thread.
• If you claim a player and he puts you over the cap, it will be vetoed and the said player will be put back on the waiver wire.
• Teams will have 24 hours to claim a player off the wire before he clears.
• If a player clears his cap hit will be off your cap.
• You cannot waive a player that you signed in free agency.[/FIELDSET]
[FIELDSET="TRADES"]• Trades do not need to be sent into to anyone. Just post it in the Trades Board.
• All NTCs and NMCs have been waived.
• I will be a lot more relaxed about vetoing deals in this game. I expect a lot of established GMs to make solid decisions, and GMs that win a particular trade should not be punished for it.
• You may not make any trades until you post your roster. Any deals made before will be put on hold and will not be official until your roster is posted.
• Player's contracts can be retained up to 50% in salary.
• Teams cannot trade cap space.
• Teams cannot trade players they sign in free agency.[/FIELDSET]

• All RFAs with expiring contracts will automatically become UFAs.
• All players with contracts that expire at the end of the 13-14 season can be re-signed by their respective teams.
• PM me to negotiate contracts for your UFAs and RFAs
• Three signed players on each GM-controlled team will be randomly selected to enter free agency as a UFA. Any player is eligible to be selected, and will be given a chance to negotiate a new contract with their respective teams.
• All players from any uncontrolled teams will enter free agency.
• The free agents will be bid on in an auction-style format.
