I feel like Connor would be the absolute perfect player to go with McDavid. Plays a very fast very straight line game and has a wicked shot. Oh well, they had their chance and it’s too late now, the Jets will keep Connor. Enjoy Reinhart tho

Even assuming that Edmontons first is worth more then a 30 goal rookie (It's not any where but this board), why does Winnipeg trade a more well known quantity for a mystery box? Why does Edmonton want MORE scoring forwards over other contributors? Why is Winnipeg still expected to pay closet to full price for Klefbom, while Myers seems mentioned as an afterthought?

This just seems very poorly thought out.

Value is not written in stone and is very subjective . For instance if a contending team has one of the best 3rd line centres in the NHL they are very unlikely to trade that player for the 9th OA pick as it weakens their team . If a non contending rebuilding team has that same player they move them in a heart beat for a 9 OA pick . Hence the difference in opinions of the value of picks . Chia job is on the line so it very likely that pick along with a defence man is available for an upgrade . I also think Edmonton will look to sign a couple value wingers with speed so I don't expect much in free agency until August when you can pick up bargains . I do expect a trade before the draft . We will see if Chia screws it as well as the last few trades

As for the OP the Jets decline and rightfully so

Seems like one of those deals where although team A gives up more perceived/ potential value ( Edm), team B gives up best player (Wpg).
So probably not happening.

There is no way the Jets give up on Conner. A rookie with 31 goals. Come on? Are you serious? There will come a time {2018/19 season} when the Jets have to make some serious decisions on who to keep and who to let go to stay under the cap but Conner will not be one of those players.

Oilers get a great speedy winger, Jets upgrade on D, and both teams exchange a LHD and a RHD to balance the top 4.

While this offer isn't a horrible offer......just no need for it from a Jets POV. Our LHD was weak two years ago.....now it's fine. Kul has been a very good bottom pairing guy, very happy with him (at times he even filled in at top 4 and did fine). Toby might resign for a year much cheaper then current contract and he's still good defensively. Josh M is a pure stud on D, top pairing guy and he's still developing. Kyle Connor is lightening fast, super fast release and a forechecking machine......and he's a rookie haha.

How about we forget your offer and if you want anything we trade you Myers.....otherwise no thx to your offer. Connor is going no where.....signing him long term.
