How to put a number at the back of a jersey

I bought a cheap polyster jersey. I would like to permanently put a number at the back without going to the expense of having it done by a professional. What would be the best way of doing that? Keep in mind that I will wash this jersey with my other clothes... Thanks.

Aside from maybe an iron-on type of decal thing, which would wear off eventually anyway, you're pretty much restricted to sewing numbers on I think.

Your probably best to find a place that sells the numbers you can just iron on.

Go to any jersey store and ask them for a press on number. They will do it and charge $5-10.
