Get a pack of Dorman 74361 Headliner Retainers. Sold at most auto parts stores and on Amazon.

You can use a small drill bit or awl to get the thread started.

There are different adhesives available for headliner repair. I've never had any luck with them and the job ends up looking ugly.

The trick to gluing it back is you have to take the panel out of the car. The glue works, but if you're trying to glue it back while it's still in the car you're working against gravity and you ain't gonna win that battle.

My problem is the headliner has come off at the ends. Not sure whether to tackle the job myself or just pay someone.

At the same time I need to get the seats redone anyway. The heat here is unkind to interiors
