    IF each team removed 1 or 2 dmen and 3 forwards from their payroll?

    bottom pairing dmen and 4th liners?

    atleast 2.5M for removing 5 players I would think.

    If you ask that with the idea of keeping the last CBA, then I would say that they save nothing.

    What ever was saved by trimming down the rosters, would be made up by spending more on the remaining players.

    Teams were spending what they chose to spend as an overall budget not on a per player basis.
