How has Joe Thornton looked for Canada ?

Fair enough.

He's one of the best hockey players in the world when it matters the least.

Hey, did Iginla show up during the Olympics? Sure, he showed up for the finals, but I guess we have selected memories. Thornton wasn't great, but nobody was on Team Canada, and to blame Joe this much is disgusting. It's a team effort, and I'm not saying Thornton was great, but hell, blame the whole team, because none of them seemed to deserve to wear that jersey last week.

The whole team did not play well. No motivation at all during the olympics. They played well for a whole period (3 goals against the Czech's) during the 6 games. To get shut out 3 times is down right embarrassing.
Goaltending was not the problem....and it never seems to be, either.
The defense was slow and porous.
The forwards were waiting for somebody to do something. Just frustrating to watch. Nothing clicked with the forwards at all.
The players needed some type of motivation...from perhaps the coaching staff??? Ah, but that doesn't matter...it's all over but the crying....oh wait...

it still doesn't help!
