How Good Has Rask Been In The Toronto Series?

To me Rask has looked excellent, he's sporting a 2.2 GAA and a .926sv% and has looked extremely calm in the net.

I was kinda laughing at some Bruins fans that were getting on him in game 3 considering he was the only reason the Leafs didn't smoke the Bruins that game.

Relatively speaking, looking at Andersen who has an 880sv% and 4 GAA, he has looked Hasek tier, but in general he has come up with huge saves at momentum shifting points in each game, whether it be breakaways, 2 on 1s or powerplays and has completely trounced Andersen in the net.

Another failed Leafs narrative attempt incoming. Yup this series boils down to Rask being Hasik like and Anderson being Scrivens like. Nothing to do with the Leafs bad D core or the Leafs offensive players being shutdown by a better Bs team.

Well that’s good.

Ottawa’s goalies had a terrible save percentage this year so clearly that’s the only problem.

Good to know!

Yes because saying the opponents goalie has been much better than the Leafs goalie is a clear excuse by Leafs fans...

Remember how the Leafs traded Rask?

Remember that?

Bet they wish they hadn't done that.

Revisionist history.

If we hadn't traded Rask there is virtually a 0% chance that we have Matthews, Nylander, Marner, and Rask turns out to be as good as he is now. We have Andersen ans a fantastic young core, im not upset about any trades from 2+ years ago and the effects that anybody thinks it would have on this team right now.

Also, I (a lifelong leaf fan) believe that Rask has been great this series (besides game #5) and he definitely contributed to the Bruins being up 3-2.

If some of our fans believe Rask is the only reason the Bruins are up, who cares? Hes your goalie and a part of your team. You need a good goalie to win.

Do people put astericks besides the cups hasek/Roy/Brodeur won because their goalies won them games? Stop saying its an excuse Leaf fans are making, Rask has been good and is part of the reason they're up.

Definitely a failed narrative after tonight's performance.

Interesting because reading Sens posts, Anderson has been one of the biggest problems for them this year, going from Godly to completely pedestrian.

He and the Sens are a great example of the difference between 930 sv percentage and 900 aka brink of cup finals v not even close to playoffs.
