Living in the Okanagan it's been pretty off and on tbh, some days it is incredibly smoky and other days it is completely clear. Thankfully it doesn't seem to affect me too much.

Its 23 C in the house with all the windows closed and ceiling fans turning. Thats not bad. Really appreciate having a portable a/c in the master bedroom Best $350 spent.. ever.

Got some N95 masks, but they suck ass for me to breath through. Regular masks are a minor annoyance at worst, but I genuinely at times found I was putting a decent effort to even walk in them to the point that I wasn’t sure if breathing in the smoke would feel much worse.

The clean air is nice, but it definitely is going to take some getting used to.

I don't like wearing masks either but I don't do a lot of walking either... mostly just from the parking lot to the store.
