I would like to hear from Tony D about Robinson over Kelly , and especially Konstantinov over say , Chara.

I remember some discussion about his time at RW and maybe that's part of it?

It would also explain Robinson over Kelly.

Even if you completely take out Kelly's time at center , he still has a superior resume than Robinson , and I'm a Big Bird fan.

That might be debatable as I think Kelly's career was split 50/50 at center and D, so 10 years at D versus Robinson.... dunno who comes out on top I'm a huge career guy.

Kelly completely dominated the field except Doug Harvey , was a spectacular offensive defenseman while being well above average defensively , should have 4 norris and the more you look at year vs year , Kelly is closer to Potvin than he is to Robinson. He was simply a more dominant defenseman for long enough to beat Robinson's longevity.

Yeah, I left out Clapper because of his time at right wing.
With Konstantinov I looked at his career in Russia. The way Chara is playing though he could overtake a lot of defensemen before he retires.
I stick by my ranking of Robinson over Kelly, those 2 though are equal so you could have either at any spot as long as they're next to 1 another.

I figured the Clapper thing was because of his time at forward. I assume this is also the reason for Siebert?

TDDM and Overpass...

Does the example below means that

+ You don't mark up ties in " highest ranked player " (which totally makes sense)?

or

+ Somebody had Bourque 1st?

We don't include ties. Nobody had Bourque first.

Cool.

I mean...

Typing 20-something times that a user had Bobby Orr 1st overall (obviously, a tie) would be both annoying and somewhat pointless! :)

I guess that for spots past Top-20 or so, it could get relevant, though.

(I mean -- easy ranking I remember : I had Herb Gardiner at 50th. If somebody else had Gardiner at 50th, notifying the tie could make sense... But a tie at 2nd would be ... somewhat pointless).
