And magically, that team will be guaranteed a gold medal, just like how Kariya and McCabe were guaranteed the World Cup as well.

There's so much logic in this thread. I love it.

Fair enough...so at the end of the day, the only changes are to add a couple of guys to the 3rd and 4th line. Which is why I am so puzzled at all the excitement.

TSN thinks this group may be the greatest Junior squad Canada has EVER iced. We will see if they are right or not, but it sure doesn't look bad on Sutter.

That's my guess as well. I think Dubnyk will be there to have a returnee for next year. But its really up in the air. I think Beauchemin deserves to be there out of these goalies though.

Sutter is no Gretzky.

Just like how the Coyotes chose Blake Wheeler 5th overall.

Gretzky is no magician. Gretzky is no coach. Gretzky selected his teams with the aid of Kevin Lowe and his entire staff.

And Sutter probably selected most of the team by his own... except for the Quincey/Bolland selections.

And yeah, my team doesn't have a lot of change, but my camp would not be the same at all.

Notice how the majority of the people defending this team is from Western Canada. Isn't that ironic?

You post was pathetic. WHO CARES WHAT PART OF CANADA THEY ARE FROM!!! Cheer for the flag, not for the names!

Well at least you've got the balls to put your own roster out there and I respect that. However there are very few changes from the actual list so I don't understand all the fuss. I applaud the fact you did this though. Still waiting for Hart to step up and do the same.

Can't believe what I am reading. I mean, how can you complain about what part of the country these players are from?

Well I feel this team would be the best players out of Canada and not the WHL stocked Sutter's team. At the moment, we don't know what will be the final line-up, so take a look to who I would invite, there is a lot of changes IMO and I would be interested to know which player you don't agree on my list and who would you take instead.

I completely agree with you here. I really don't understand all of the furor either. Why are people so surprised particularly when Bob McKenzie wrote an article only a day ago about how difficult it was going to be to even get named to the selection roster, and that there would be a lot of talented players disappointed to not get selected.

In any event... I'm looking forward to the tournament. Canada ends its 7 year gold medal drought this year!

not the same at all? Out of the 32 invites you have 25 the same!!! That's pretty close.

yes its 7 players but its 7 players who probably would have been cut anyway. The end result of the team will be the same regardless of who the extra few invitees are

Useless thread ever. If the best players are all from the WHL so be it. I just want the gold. However i will say this, they need to do a better job scouting every leagues because if I was a player from the Q or OHL i'd asking some questions.

From what i can see we are still the strongest line up in the tournament on paper. Our defense is just sick and our offense is the same as last year if not better with all the returnees with a year of experience under their belt plus Bergeron. I won't complain.

I feel some players who aren't invited to the camp should/could make the final team, as I pointed out in my rosters.

And out of my 7 players added, 4 are from the Q. IMO the Q is getting overlooked badly.

Who realistically could have made it?? ..Only Bernier had a hope .. but if you are looking for a power forward for Getzlaf's line then Ladd would the logical choice, and if you want scoring then Perry would be a possibilty as..

and if you keep Fehr and Stone together for obvious reasons ..

If Ladd makes this team, my name is Roger. But still... with Sutter as the head coach, you never know.
