Any chance TOR does us a solid and leaves behind Carrick in a spare equipment bag after game? We could use a serviceable, puck-moving D with actual NHL experience, at least till Nisky returns.

The irony of the desire to see Trotz play some young guys. Now were playing Groavac/Bowey/Djoos/Walker/Vrana all at the same time. At least Ness is out, maybe we have a chance.

Things I care about with this game:
  • D pairs looking more defensive (given they've had a few practices now, it would be nice)
  • Ovi, Beer Kuzy, Backy, and TJ add to their points/goal quotas
  • Less penalties would be cool
  • 70 resembling a large unsaturated sponge would help
A win is totally a bonus. A loss would be bogus, but ok, because I'm fully re-stocked with brewskies.

This is going to be a fun game. The Leafs are such an exciting team. My first game ever at Verizon Center was this spring for Game 2 vs the Leafs. It was skillful hockey played at breakneck speed.

So many star players on both sides. Ovechkin, Matthews, Backstrom, Nylander, Kuznetsov, Marner, Oshie.
