The Oyster, he looked good and poised to break into the league shortly

Paigin has the most potential of anyone left on the board followed by Niemeläinen. Khaira, Jones and Oesterle look like they have safe if not especially glamorous upside, but everyone else is a long ways away from an NHL career.

Your a pretty terrible evaluater of talent then.

and when did you PERSONALLY SEE HIM PLAY????

you have seen him plat at least once in person, right? or three or four times?

you have not seen him play and are relying on other people reviews of him

People see his height and project where they think he will develop to

can you name his main D-partner in Sochi? and please give your personal review of seeing that player performance? Can you name his D-partner is Sochi?

btw

he needs to add about 20 pounds--he gets pushed around a lot and moved off the puck easily

also the Sochi team he played on was a very bad team where most guys just sucked

Watched him play at the wjc in Toronto and streams of his games in Sochi after he started putting up numbers.

IMO people see his size and expect him to be a physically punishing Dman, but he's not he's an offensive Dman.

The numbers he put up with Sochi have never really been seen by a player that young let alone a defensmen. He's definatley deserves to be in the top 10 and not in the 20's.

Few things that don't make sense in your argument here:

-Nobody is looking at his height to project him. It's his point totals. If he were putting up those kind of points as a 5'11" defenseman people would still be getting excited. That kind of production for a 21 year old defenseman is unheard of. Artemi Panarin had less production in the KHL at the same age as a forward.

-If the Sochi team sucked and most of the players sucked like you say, that makes the feat that much more impressive no? It's not like he was leeching points off of a Radulov or Kovalchuk type, he was a driving force of their offense.

If you've seen him play a few times how about you give us your own personal scouting report on the things you don't like about his game instead of just calling people out? So far the only thing you've said that is negative is his strength/weight, which is one of the easiest things to solve for a player with his kind of a frame.

JT shark you just sound really biased against him. I dunno how u can be so hard on a Dman who puts up points like he does at his age, vs men in a pro league. He's a top tier prospect after last season. I don't have to watch every game to know that.

I don't get how people can get so upset and start taking shots at how people rank these kids. Go look at Poll #2 I believe where the link from 2014 was posted.

These guys are a god damn crap shoot add that people judge most potential over most likely to make the NHL or vice versa and you add a lot of grey here.
