I like the skill LaLeggia's shown so far, even if he's a long shot to make the NHL. If he makes it, he should be a pretty good player. I like boom-bust prospects.

Really surprised that Slep beat out Khaira.

I think Khaira has been hands down better in both the NHL and AHL.

Khaira's a limited player though, so I get it. Not sure he's ever more than a fourth liner. Slepyshev, meanwhile, has some sexy attributes that could (but probably won't) lead to more at the NHL level.

It's like Oesterle vs. Niemelainen- 6'6 giant with some interesting tools, or the undersized but safe and cerebral 5/6? I like the high upside guy myself- especially if the current vote holds and Khaira wins out. Need some more home run shots in that top 12.

I don't think he's that limited.

He didn't look out of place with RNH/Eberle. That might actually have been RNH's best stretch of the season.

Unfortunately war-on-ice is dead now, but it showed Khaira having some really strong underlying numbers.
