@Fixed to Ruin you're up.

Love the Harris pick. Great puck rushing defender. I liked him as a late first rounder until his cup of tea in the USHL. He's a little further away than I thought, but the potential is quite high here.

With their first pick at #61, the Lightning select Ivan Morozov, from SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL.

@McVirginOil and the Jets are up next!

With the depth of prospects in the Lightning organization I felt I could take a chance on a longer term prospect with sky high potential. A RH centre known to be offensively gifted while playing a complete 200 foot game and possessing a long, fluid skating stride (all of which are evident in the number of very impressive clips found on his HF prospects page), he performed extremely well this season in the MHL playoffs and with the Russian national team, averaging 1 PPG with the latter at both the World Jr. A Challenge and U-18s. TB can afford to let him remain in the KHL to develop, with a recent trade to SKA St. Petersburg perhaps indicative of the talent that others see in him overseas.

Best possible outcome: Patrice Bergeron

Yeah some time to marinate will serve him well. Good for him to get a handful of games against USHL competition though before the off-season. It should be good for him to have a full year in the USHL before heading off to Northeastern. I think he can be a good puck moving second pairing defenseman at the NHL level.

3 (66) - RW Patrick Giles - USA - 6'4" 203 lbs. - USA U-18 - NTDP

He'll be heading to a good program at Boston College and will need some time. Lots of potential but he's still growing into his body.

The next Bogdan Yakimov??
Well he skates quite a bit better that Bogdan. He also has a fantastic shot, and he doesn't slow down with the puck on his stick. The offensive game is certainly there at the MHL level. He hardly got any playing time in the KHL, so it will be interesting to see how his game translates.

He scored 20 goals in 22 games in the MHL. A 1.64 PPG clip, best in the MHL for any player playing 20 games or more. Anyone close to him in PPG numbers are all 20 years old. Shafigullin is 18. There were some strong players on his team over a PPG, so he could be seen as a beneficiary of that talent, but none of their numbers come close to the insane clip that Shafigullin put up. Denisenko who has been rated as high as 11th by Hockey Prospect and 18th by Future Considerations scored 22 points in 36 games. He was even outscored by Nikolai Kovalenko, another draft eligible on his own team. Somehow, Shafigullin is rated 50+ spots behind him. He could literally be the steal of the draft in my opinion. There is always some caution with these MHL players obviously, but from what I have seen, Shafigullin is criminally underrated.

I've been having huge problems on my cell with a "connection timed out" error message the last two days, but no issues on my laptop at home.
Both cell and laptop. This site is running like dogshit. And it unquestionably has everything to do with those stupid advertisements.
