You never know with Jags, but I'd put money on it that he won't play 4 more years. Care to make a friendly wager? :naughty:

Unless you were talking about the "Great job on this, Brock" comment. In that case, I'm sure about that.

I was talking about both. It took Brock over 12 hours to get this stuff out, we expect better.

More seriously, thanks Brock. Getting this stuff up this fast is hugely appreciated. Please ignore all the times I curse you about not getting the player I want, especially after the free agent lottery.

Great job Brock. I know how difficult it is to do this and putting up with 29 GMs and few AGMs.

Yep - nice quick work - I can see you were building your file as you received the submissions, smart work - hopefully made the rest of it go smoothly. And sorry about all those UDFAs... Even sorrier for Mr. Kirk who gets the unenviable task of entering them all. At least I can take solace that I wasn't the worst offender!

Great work, Brock!

24 teams in on O'Connor  I wonder if that's a record?

Also, I believe Derek Morris is retired.

I don't think Kevin Tansey is eligible to be signed. He was at the Senators development camp, but only as a college invite. He was redshirted as a sophomore and is believed to be returning for a final year of college.

This is a record for most teams in a lottery. I'm not even sure we've topped 20 before.

And yes, Derek Morris is retired and will not be signed to a new contract.

Any word on when the lottery will be?

Lottery date will be announced once the 2nd bids are processed. There's typically another lottery or two to come so we'll do them all together.

I'm not processing UDFA stuff tonight but this seems correct. Tansey hasn't played any pro games and returning to college seems to be a legit option.

On top of Tansey, Ville Leino is not eligible to be signed. He played in Europe last year and doesn't have a contract to return to NA at this point.

The rest of the UFA signings have been processed and will be updated online in a few minutes.

I know this is a year late, but while making my list of UDFA offers, I noticed that the HFNHL-Islanders had signed Oleg Yevenko last year in the UDFA's. Yevenko played his 4th year for UMass (Amherst) in NCAA in 2014-15 and didn't sign a pro contract until March this year. Therefore I think that he shouldn't have been eligible to be signed last summer.

Great point and definitely something that was missed last year. I'll have a chat with a few members of the admin team and make a decision here. Perhaps it's too late to do something in this instance, perhaps not.

I have no issue with putting him back to the FA pool. However, every team should be given an opportunity to bid for him as he may have been ignored. Therefore, should go to 2nd round of FA bidding.

Agree with that.

And yeah, Tansey is returning to school. He came to the Sens development camp as an invitee, but is returning to school. I scrapped my offer for him once development camp broke and he stated he was returning to school. Matt O'Connor actually came to the Sens development camp last year as well. Not uncommon for College Juniors to be invitee's and then return to school.

OK, let's do that then. Yevenko's contract will be void and he'll be an FA for the 2nd round (on available FA's) next week.
