(AP) Anaheim - Well these HFNHL Ducks have waddled their way into a tie for first place in the Pacific, despite a massive retooling of the roster in preparation for the future. The Ducks have been led by what should be the Coach of the Year in Carlyle and GM of the Year Larsen.

Goaltender Jonathan Quick has rebounded from a tough start to the season, which ironically led to the roster re-tool. He has been exceptional as the Ducks continue to find ways to win vs strong competition. Andrew Shaw has been key this season as he has 64 points in 53 games as a Duck, and can no longer be called newly acquired as there have been many more that are newer to the team. Victor Rask already has five points in three games, centering the top line. Jake Gardiner, a key cog to the future, has 20 points in 24 games with the franchise, and waiver claim Landon Ferraro has two goals in three games.

How much longer can this run last? Well, there are 15 games left in the season, including several against teams battling for playoff positioning. The Ducks still hold two first round picks, their own re-acquired in the Steel trade and Boston's. Both picks could end up being in the playoffs or in the lottery. Some fans are hoping that the team "tanks" to get a better selection or that one of them pulls off the lottery miracle and brings a franchise player to the west coast.

Put on your goggles and bills....it's time to fly in formation.

Well that worked out.

Heading into the draft, Ducks will look to use their two first round picks to move up or down.

Also, Quick has garnered some significant interest so we would be willing to hear what is out there for an elite goalie.

Also, veteran dman Andy Greene is available to solidify a D.

Others available as usual.
