The Columbus Blue Jackets are exploring options to either upgrade key positions (especially goal) or accumulate futures to start restocking our farm (NOT game) system.
To that end, the following players are currently available:
D Nate Schmidt (31, $5.95m x1+2)
Schmidt is a key part of the NHL Jets’ superb blueline corps, and gives you a highly mobile puck distributor (84 SK, 67 PA, 75 DF) who can contribute at both ends. He’s got one year left in the HFNHL, but can he extended another two years.
For the budget conscious or youth-focused:
D Haydn Fleury (26, $1.6m x 1)
“Show me” year for Fleury (67 OV, 80 DF), who has landed a great opportunity joining Tampa for the 2022-23 season.
