What is everyone's game of the year? Nominate your choice(s) in the thread here then I'll open a poll.

Nominate as many games as you want
, there is no limit. Any console, mobile, or PC game.

Games with the most nominations will make the final poll.

Previous years:

2016 - Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - 20.41%
2015 - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - 35%
2014 - South Park: The Stick of Truth - 15%
2013 - The Last of Us - 29%
2012 - Walking Dead - 20%
2011 - Skyrim - 48%

We'll deal with issues of what should/shouldn't count as they arise.

Game releases of 2016 for reference

The best thing to happen in games this year was Granblue Fantasy getting an English text option, but I dunno if that really counts as a 2016 release. Same goes for a handful of good remaster/DLC/expansion-type releases this year.

Dark Souls 3. The strongest game in the Souls series IMO.

Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen for PC was also really really good. (IDK if this counts or not)

Witcher 3 : Blood and Wine. Expansion was better than any other game I have played in 2016.

I'm excited to play this after I beat my Death March playthrough, but don't know if I would qualify it tbh.

Overwatch for me.

Also Bloodborne got 5 votes last year, while FO4 got 19... boo.

.

You are going to go bannanas. It is a whole new game, whole new map....I would even hesitate to call it an expansion...easy 40 hrs of content or more if you take your time.

This has to be the weakest year in a while. Already been nominated, but I'd only really give a nod to The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine and Uncharted 4.

Does Blood and Wine technically count as an expansion though? It's still bigger than most games.

No expansion belongs in the realm of 'Game of the Year' in my book.

XCOM 2
Planet Coaster
Sid Meier's Civilization VI
Pokemon Sun & Moon
Doom
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE
Uncharted 4

I'd rather rescind my vote for the WoW expansion then include a whole bunch of Downloadable content on 2 year old games.

Didn't play a lot of new games this year so I'm gonna say Pokemon sun and moon. For my money I say it's the second best pokemon after Heartgold/SoulSilver

Surprised people would be down on this year. I feel like it's the best year of this generation so far by a few miles.
