In this thread I think it's important to separate the emotions and opinions related to the trade, and focus on the player we now have on the team.
I understand that at face value it looks like we lost the trade in terms of value, but there's a good chance Domi will be a good fit for our team. He's a really good player, he's young, and I was surprised to learn his PPG was similar to Chucky's. I admit to not having seen him play much though.
The pressure won't be as high for Domi... seems like with Chucky we were all waiting on the edge of our seats for him to be the dominant player (and center) we wanted him to be. He showed us glimpses.
What do you think Domi will contribute to the team? Play-making? PP points?

Domi is more of an even-strength player, whereas Galchenyuk is more of a pp player
Has more pts than Galchenyuk at 5 on 5 than Galchenyuk the past 2 seasons

That's one thing I'm happy about, seeing Galchenyuk at center flourishing and succeeding like he should have in Montreal.
