Hefty suspension for VIC player

Saw the get better tweet first from EVT without any context. Now seeing the infraction. Without prior history I wonder what the count would be. Don't know either player. EVT player does put himself in vulnerable position. But as with most discipline rulings bad injury , high game count.

repeat offender status , per the league statement. had two instigator PENs in final 5 mins of games.
Those are dummy moves not what I was expecting. Injuries, Stick infractions, hits to head is what I thought I'd see. This is book throwing level of punishment.

Point was there was really no history to this player with this type of play. No injury, would have been 5+game for check from behind.
Severity of the injury = the suspension length. IF the play happened without injury you could , or maybe should, give that same suspension to get those plays out of the game in the first place, Suspension for EVERY check from behind? Hopefully not a career ender for the EVT player.

Never seen a suspension like that in the WHL. Watching the video you can tell that was a clear intent to injury. 25 games well deserved.
