first 3 months at least I posted schedule under the NHL US TV sticky as well. Just figured this was a good place for comments on the schedule. I will say that HDNET is way better than TSN and OLN as far as giving the Western Conference some reasonably equal balance. NHL on HDNet October – December, 2006 Thursday, October 5th Flyers @ Penguins 7:30pm ET Saturday, October 7th Blues @ Kings 10:30pm ET Thursday, October 12th Penguins @ Rangers 7:00pm ET Saturday, October 14th Stars @ Kings 10:30pm ET Thursday, October 19th Capitals @ Thrashers 7:00pm ET Saturday, October 21st Stars @ Coyotes 10:00pm ET Thursday, October 26th Sharks @ Predators 8:00pm ET Saturday, October 28th Penguins @ Flyers 7:00pm ET Thursday, November 2nd Red Wings @ Blackhawks 8:30pm ET Saturday, November 4th Blue Jackets @ Red Wings 7:00pm ET Thursday, November 9th Islanders @ Flyers 7:00pm ET Saturday, November 11th Sharks @ Coyotes 9:00pm ET Thursday, November 16th Maple Leafs @ Bruins 7:00pm ET Saturday, November 18th Avalanche @ Wild 8:00pm ET Thursday, November 23rd Canucks @ Predators 8:00pm ET Saturday, November 25th Rangers @ Penguins 7:30pm ET Thursday, November 30th Stars @ Capitals 7:00pm ET Saturday, December 2nd Sharks @ Red Wings 7:00pm ET Thursday, December 7th Blues @ Red Wings 7:30pm ET Saturday, December 9th Avalanche @ Kings 10:30pm ET Thursday, December 14th Rangers @ Stars 8:30pm ET Saturday, December 16th Flames @ Coyotes 9:00pm ET Thursday, December 21st Oilers @ Coyotes 9:00pm ET Saturday, December 23rd Rangers @ Lightning 7:30pm ET Thursday, December 28th Flyers @ Lightning 7:30pm ET Saturday, December 30th Canadiens @ Lightning 7:30pm ET
I sure hope they show a Sharks game live in the tank durring the second half of the season. I've been waiting awhile now to watch a Sharks home game in HD.
I do have a question, anybody know who will be doing the play-by-play for these broadcasts with Dan Kelly now in Chicago?
At least they have 1 Bruins game in the first half schedule. I'm still waiting for the year that they will start to offer HD feeds on the Center Ice package. Besides that I find that I end up watching alot of the games on HDNET whether I like the teams or not. Their HD quality is the highest I have seen on any channel and they have some unique camera angles to take advantage of the wider frame.
Some providers already do... for example, with rogers, they have 3 dedicated channels for MLB,NHL,NCAA games in HD. It was used for about the last half of the regular season last year. They picked up HDNet, Fox Sports, Comcast, Sun Sports and a few other networks HD telecasts.
Thank god that guy was horrible. I think it would be Larry Murphy actually maybe Ron Kruck if you go to hd.net and look at their on air talent page other than larry murphy that's the only one with NHL experience so that's who I am guessing. I agree though I cannot stand their announce team (Dan Kelly) I couldn't stand him and when the Devil game was on last year I think they made it very clear they didn't like the Devils.
this is my first season with an HD tv/HD service...does this come standard with any HD package? or do you hafta order it?
.......... almost half of the first month (3/8) games the Pens are involved including the opening night broadcast. Malkin + Crosby are obviously drawing some interest.
It wound up as a three-way swap: Dan Kelly to the Hawks. Judd Sirott (long-time AHL Chicago Wolves announcer) to HDNET http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?p=652178 Pat Foley (long-time Blackhawks announcer) to the Wolves http://www.chicagowolves.com/news/features/index.html?article_id=109 The Wolves get the better of this deal, IMHO...
