Sites blacklist posters?

Can we do that here?
A while back (and I'm talking like 10 years), there used to be a "global ignore" option for mods here where someone could still post, but no one else could see it. It was fun seeing how long it took them to figure it out

How long would it take 50 to notice?

The previous Seabrook deal was fine if you ask me.

It was almost too perfect. You couldn’t have picked a better time for him to leave. I don’t know what they were thinking. They can be so cold blooded and business like with guys like Saad, Sharp and others but then Seabs and Bickell had them wrapped around their finger. It’s inconsistent.

This is the reason why people ask is John McD is involved in some deals.

Well the new guy blogging at hockeybuzz .com badicalky has called out Toews as Slow and Weak and points out some alarming declines in his game like a huge decline I'm high danger shots even from a horrible ladt seadon..and a decline in Toews rate of drawing penalties ...and he also criticizes Toews d-zone e play ...sp Slow and Weak on both sides of the game (offensive and defensive impacts) ...

Myself ...I have commented on an apparent decline in his athleticism..he just gets tired and is prone to less hustle and more coasting. .not sure this is a want problem.but somehow a lack of energy problem..These effects seem to have increased since he went to his less red meat diet (if he eats any at all ..or maybe he has a vitamin deficiency...WHATEVER....he is not the same impact to the game or vebe to his line player that he was since the 2014/15 season ...again ..he cannot keep up a 60 minute game and looks to tire on too many shifts and this effects his hustle and battle ..to me there is a definite energy decline in his game ...so instead of a whole game or nearly a whole game of effective play as befits a 1C ..we get instead just a few shifts or maybe 1 period to a half a game a game of decent to good pkay (but never really any starry play) from him..He used to impact the direction of games with great 2 way pkay for most games and most of avgame
.now that bis very rare. He used to cause danger at the opposing net and draw penalties by opponents...that too us now rare ...He used to win most puck battles. ..lucky to win halfnofvthese now..Just not very effective anymore.

Saad was supposed to re-energize him and help him score more again..Instead it seems Toews visit dragging Saad down ...because after the hot start in the first couple of games...Saad has sagged badly in goal scoring and assists.
While we fans on these boards have called out Toews and his problems over the last 2 seasons and into this one to date ,few bloggers covering the team on prominent sites have really called out Toews ..so I applaud the courage of the new guy who took over from JJ at hockeybuzz.com com to.lay out the case in full detail rather than those still fawning over Toews having a positive CF% for the season ...he was correct in pointing out several of the problem areas in the Toews game besides even the lack of production issue. ..The point is, Toews must be measured by his own standards of his seasons prior to the declines that started manifesting in 2015/16 ,2016/17 and now to date in 2017/28 ...IT isvhowevervtruevthat Toews "found his A game" for approx. 6 weeks sometime in either Dec-Jan or Jan-Feb the last 2 seasons..Whether we even get this mid-season 'spiurt" of better alk round play + scoring+ impact on games again tjis season remains to be seen..but even if that happens again, we must ask why he can only summon the energy boost to spurt like that for weeks straight and go meh to poor before and after such a spurt for 9nly a short period during a season..It is a baffling mystery ..But if he even fails to spurt thus seadon. .we would then conclude he can no longer be the effective star we had paid for with the $10.5 deal. .Padding the stats with the odd en goal will not cut it.. We need a lot better play from him...Both in finishing and creating more danger on attack ..and in the hustle and work it takes to defend our zone competently ..

Exactly- finally some sanity!

He defended that deal... laughable... still does... Tab's best argument- to my "SB- has put this team in a straight jacket" - Re: # 7's cap/term is... When CBA- comes again- Hawks can move him...

Hardly an argument. And Only proves my point... on how Constricting that deal is/was.

To the request of others... I will try to let Sopelbrook and Toews not be Focus here.

I try to go to a few open practices and Hogs games every year... hope I can add some things with those views.

Yeah, hard not to think there are too many cooks in the kitchen when things like this happen. And the weird part is keeping BB and Seabs ultimately cost us Saad and Panarin, two of our most marketable guys. Both good guys, Saad the more gregarious and sociable, Panarin diminutive and quirky. You had the entire spectrum right there and could have appealed to everyone with it. Fact is, nobody gives a damn about your personality and marketability if you suck. Everyone is more interesting when they are out there kicking ass.

So when do you start? It's literally all you've talked about in like...10 posts. If all you are going to do is come here and complain about Tab and his site, and complain about Seabrook and his contract, who we all know sucks, you're going to find yourself ignored by most people.

Random thoughts:

- crow almost screwed the pooch in the third. That 3rd goal was terrible. Even more terrible when it happened

- Henrik - I don't think I've seen a goalie go from so good to so bad in the blink of an eye. It's as if that terrible goal broke him

- Great to see AA get the hatty. Combined 6 feet away for all goals. Could have had a 4th. Net front presence. Whoulda thunk it?

- Good to see Hayden score. Kid has been invisible of late and took that bad double minor

- Franson was a disaster on D but he's in because he's the only D man who can get a shot through from the point. He doesn't dance with the puck - he sees and shoots. Compare that to 2 and 7. Think of the minutes and how many PP they've been on. They have one goal between them in 18 games. Eek.

- Schmaltz had a great third. His first period was a disaster. He's 100x better on the wing. Not an NHL center

- First line was garbage

- Toews bad again. He gets ragdolled off the puck so easily and can't finish. Kind of criminal that he gets the cheapy ENG. he didn't 'deserve' it. 5 goals all season. Feel free to pot one in 5:5 or PP

- Penalty kill was good.

- Kane was meh again. Incredibly lazy on many shifts. Did hit a post but needs to pot goals. Great pass on the AA goal but needs to put up goals.

- Forsling is the real deal. Basically saved the game especially when he made that play

- we talk about Kane as disappointing but Saad has been very disappointing. He did have the gwg in OT (soft goal) the other night but he isn't bringing what we expected and he hasn't gotten 19 going. Over is it the other way around. 2 on 1 at a critical point in the game and totally flubs the pass. No shot

- Very happy to see Lance Mashinter-Bollig in the line up over a young speed guy

I'm curious everyone's thought about the pass back entry on the PP. I won't pretend to understand the ins and outs of breakouts as much as some of you guys seem to. But we do it a lot, which the Rangers obviously realized last night. Do you like it? I don't know that it's a bad idea per se, but we do it so much that it just seems so that it seems the other team knows it's coming and thus it doesn't accomplish much.

Watch some of the other NHL games, and other teams' PPs. It has become a fad in the NHL, and just about every team does it on the PP at least once or twice per game.

I'm not a huge fan of it, though. It has a tendency to leave everyone standing still except for the puck carrier... which is not a good recipe for puck retrieval during an entry.

I don't get to watch a ton of other NHL games, but I do see it elsewhere when I do. It doesn't seem as telegraphed though.

Yeah, because the Hawks always do it with the same two players... never changing them up, or rarely changing up the area of the ice they do it.

It's always Keith retrieves the puck, Kane circles back down behind him with speed, Keith drops it to Kane as he tries to tear directly through the center of the ice with speed(usually). Occasionally they'll run it close to the boards, but most the time it's directly down the middle of the ice with Keith and Kane. And as soon as Kane enters the zone, he makes a beeline for the dashers where he usually sets up to QB the PP. Or on a rare occurrence, he'll actually make a pass to one of his linemates that are standing still at the blueline... another bad thing on zone entries. Guys standing still at the blueline.

It looks telegraphed with the Hawks because it is. They've been doing it the exact same way with the exact same players for years now. It's gotten super predictable.

Say wut? 10 posts??? That's it?? There are numerous active posters here who have literally 100's and 1000's of "Coach Q suxxor" posts and you come up with this guy with just 10??? hahhaha

Here's a power play specialist basically illustrating everything the Hawks don't do on PP.:ha:
