Who is Victoria and why do we care?

Canada, unfortunately, is forever chained to the British monarchy, and as such, will continue to celebrate Victoria Day.

When the current queen dies, no doubt we'll have an Elizabeth Day pop up on the calendar. And she'll be on our money forever and ever.

Happy Victoria Day to the very best next-door neighbors a city could ask for. We're looking forward to welcoming you back to our resurgent city this summer, Canada!

The few times I've been to Buffalo, it's to watch a Sabres game. So, not so much a summer thing.

Oh, and also to visit the Anchor Bar. Great wings.

Who gives a ****, stat holidays are stat holidays. The more the better

Is there a February holiday in Alberta?

Our past premier introduced "Family Day" a few years back, for that very reason. We didn't have a stat in February, so we got this b.s. explanation about how the day was about family, and we should all take the day off and be with family.

It's not very often that you find a stat holiday that was invented after you were born, but we Ontarians have one now.

EDIT: Nevermind, you folks had it before we did, lol
